This is a USED book though the book is often in as new condition. I really believe this is one of the handiest books to have and highly recommend it. This title is the United Kingdom title. You can often find it or the US version which is published under the title "Barnes & Noble Thesaurus of Geology". The book dates from 1982.

I really like the layout of the book. It starts with a high level topic such as Minerals then drills down to lower level details. Entries are forward and reverse referenced. The flow of this book really makes it easy to learn geological topics.

You can often find this book, like I do, as a used book. Often used means new, just never sold before they went out of print and have been sitting on the shelf since the 80's. If you can't find it else where maybe we have a copy. Check bublos.com, my preferred site for finding used and out of print books.
