Our 30 Day Return Policy
We promise that you'll happy with your purchase. If for any reason you find that you are not happy with your purchase in the first 30 days you may return any unopened or unused and in new condition item(s). We'll refund your full purchase price, excluding shipping.
Send us an email by responding to your order shipping notice or to firstname.lastname@example.org or give us a call and tell us that you are going to return the items. Make sure you send, or have ready, our Order Reference Number. We'll email you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).
After you have received the RMA return the merchandise to us the cheapest way available to you. Mark the box with the RMA number you received. We are not responsible
for any loss in return shipping. We recommend that you purchase shipping insurance or use an insured shipping method such as UPS. If you use USPS (mail) to return the package at least purchase Delivery Confirmation which will be your proof that we received your item(s). Save money. There's
no need to expedite the return shipment as we have more of the items in stock. As soon as we receive your returned
merchandise we will make a credit for the returned merchandise to your
payment method or we can keep a store credit for you if you desire.
All returned merchandise must be in as new condition. You can't have
used rock picks on only one trip to the field, books can't be dog eared or
coffee stained. It has to still be in the condition that you would expect
to receive it if you had just paid for it. If we can't sell it as new
we will refund the price you paid for the merchandise in excess of the cost of the item less a 25% restocking fee.
We're sorry but the return policy doesn't apply to software, DVD's,
videos or other multimedia products unless the package is unopened.
Merchandise damaged in shipment will be replace at no charge to you.
Just notify us within 5 business days of your receipt of the package
and we'll make it right. For packages containing
damaged merchandise you must save all the packaging as well as the damaged
merchandise in case the shipper requires an inspection of the damage.
If the merchandise is damaged or non-operational in some other way on
its arrival then we will replace it at our cost. We will pay the return
shipping cost but you must contact us to arrange for a return shipping
label. Please do not return the merchandise until you have received the
return shipping label from Amateur Geologist. We will include the return
shipping label in the package we send you containing the replacement
for the damaged item. Shipping cost for merchandise returned to us without
approval or a shipping label we have provided will be refunded only up
to our cost.
Equipment is normally warranted by the manufacturer. In the event equipment
fails after use you will need to return it to the manufacturer or their
representative for repair. We can help put you in contact with the correct
people as well as help make sure they follow through. We can usually
handle warrantee problems with Estwing, Valley, Bausch & Lomb, and BelOMO
All orders shipped are insured against damage and loss. If your order's package does not arrive
then we will ship
you a duplicate of your order.
Orders shipped by United Parcel Service (UPS) include a tracking number which is emailed to you
by UPS on the day your order shipped. The tracking number will provide you with the current delivery status of your
order. Packages shipped by UPS are guaranteed to arrive on the scheduled delivery date except for the holiday season.
If the rare case when your package doesn't arrive within a few days of the scheduled delivery date then it is probably
lost and we will file an insurance claim and ship the duplicate merchandise to you.
Orders shipped by US Postal Service (USPS) do not include tracking number
unless they have been shipped by Express Mail. The post office staff
is told to call Delivery Confirmation a tracking number but the only
tracking available is delivery. Like you, unless a package is sent by
Express Mail we have no idea where it is. Our experience with USPS is
that they have a much poorer record on delivery times than their estimates.
Occasionally even Priority Mail packages take more than a month to arrive.
Once a package is 3 weeks later than its estimated delivery date we can
treat it as lost in transit. We'll send you a statement to sign
stating that you have not received the package. Return to us and when
we have received it we can ship you replacement
merchandise for your lost order.
Mistake On Order
Of course if we make a mistake on your order we will work promptly to
correct the mistake at NO additional cost to you.
