Eschenbach 9x Two Lens Achromatic Precision Folding Magnifier (1186-9) 
Two achromatic, coated, glass lenses, 0.9'' (23 mm) in diameter, provide a color-aberration free image. A total of 9x magnification with one 3x lens and one 6x lens. The body is made of reinforced glass-fiber durable polyamide. The air tight body prevents dust, which produces scratches, from entering.

I normally don't recommend multiple individual lens magnifiers. In most cases the lenses are single glass lenses. But if you're going to use a multiple lens folding magnifier then this is the one to have.

Each lens is a high quality achromatic, coated, glass lens not a simple lens cut and polished from one piece of glass. Each lens consists of multiple pieces of glass each shaped so that together they shape the light entering and passing through the lens so that what comes in is what comes out.

You'll find most folding lens magnifiers provide simple magnification but at the cost of distortion of the light. Color gets scattered so that what you see isn't the true color of the object. Light gets bent so that the image is sharp at the center but distorted at the edges.

Not with this multiple lens magnifier. You'll see the true color with an undistorted image.

The Belomo 10x handlens is definitely a wonderful tool. A Hastings triplet design that is built like a Swiss bank vault. Optics are superb (razor sharp and bright) with a much wider field of view than my Bausch & Lomb 10x Hastings - which for entomology is a big plus! My collection of hand lenses is fairly large and I also use stereo microscopes for my work, but the Belomo can always be in your pocket ready to use anywhere and enjoy at any time. Its heirloom sturdiness will provide many years of visual pleasure. My first order got lost in the mail and the great folks at Amateur Geologist didn't bat an eye and sent another which was very kind, proving that they're definitely there to help their customers. My sincere thanks and appreciation goes out to them for their fabulous service and wonderful products.
