Glossaries
The Amateur Geologist offers two geological glossaries, both of which
are under construction. The first is the standard format Geological
Glossary. Terms are arranged in simple alphabetical order.
The second geological glossary is a Structured
Geological Glossary. In the structured format, terms are
grouped with related terms and arranged in a logical format
of increasing detail after Alec Watt's "Illustrated Thesaurus
of Geology". When you look up a term using the structured
glossary like terms will be grouped around it. For instance,
if you look up normal
fault you'll fine reverse fault, right-lateral
fault and other fault types co-located.
